replacing my thermostat this weekend on 2006 Nissan Pathfinder..V6 VQ40 engine.

bought factory thermostat and gasket from Nissan....does it need any RTV gasket sealer?
any specific torque on the 3 bolts that hold the housing on?

Thanks

For small torque applications, I usually mark the bolts with a sharpie or a chalk or whatever and then align the bolts exactly to where they were previously.

If there's no leak, call it good and done!

When I did T-stat replacement, didn't use anything except the gasket came with it, no leaks and so far so good. Good luck.

+1. And.... Make sure the mating surfaces in between the gasket are perfectly clean of the old gasket and coolant residue free and dry.
