2012 Liberty; coolant leak

2012 Jeep Liberty Limited Jet edition, with the 3.7 L power tech V6 with 174k miles. The little truck has been sitting here for a few days and the stain in the driveway has only gotten bigger. It smells like coolant. My first thought is, the water pump. It is the original. I have checked underneath, there is a drip coming from where the timing chain cover meets the block, but I haven’t been able to trace it. Does anybody have any other thoughts on what could be causing this leak

if its not leaking at a hose, or radiator end caps, its probably the water pump.

Buy a bottle of dye and add to the system, then look at it at night with a UV.

My guess is the water pump's weep hole. You need to clean the area up so you can trace the flow of coolant.

Likely the WP. Pretty common on these. Dead easy job if you don't have the mechanical fan. At 232k on mine and on my second, used a Napa reman. Just make sure you use HOAT coolant!
