We told one of our fleet customers that we put a special additive in his oil that would increase his mileage. This is a guy that keeps track of his mileage and drives a lot. We looked at his records and he was getting 26.5 mpg over the spring and summer to this point. We gave him the additive and told him 1 oz/5 gallons of gas. We also told him that if he wanted to try 2 oz/5 gallons that would be just a tiny bit better. He used the additive and kept up his usual good records and he now averaged 28.1 mpg over 10 tanks, running down to a quarter and gassing up. We told him to be careful and add some of the additive before filling and come to the correct mixture upon hitting full and to never top off, first click, quit. I’m here to tell you his gain was carefully documented and he is an honest person. That comes to about a 9.4306049822064056939501770431% increase in gas mileage. We rounded it off the twenty eight most significant digits. Further precision is not needed because of temperature and humidity effects and the differences between pumps at the gas station. The test committee has authorized me to reveal the actual chemistry of the additive. There are three parts to this new additive, 87 octane gasoline, red dye and suggestion. We wanted to share this because it is such an important advancement in the reduction of our dependency on foreign oil that is must be shared. If you leave out the dye, which will not be required by our more sophisticated members, it will never cost more than the street price of gasoline. It’s important to develop the muscle memory and follow the ritual of adding the additive at every fill up. You will drive away with the knowledge that you’re going to get better mileage.

Next we are going to try the same test with oil and we will contact Bill at RLI and Terry at Dyson analysis and of course our best read poster and breath of fresh air, RI_RS4 to formulate an additive that will improve mileage and carry forward our high standards of testing excellence.

You are a bad man, Lonnie. A very bad man.

Oh my! Well, everyone knows that adding fuel to the oil reduces viscosity. I think your fuel additive could do double duty.
