I was a big fan of The Muppet Show; in fact, my high school year book says I'm most likely to be Fozzie Bear; not sure why, but it does.

For you younger guys, the show had a whole bunch of "old time" comedians, actor, musicians mixed in with current ones. Some of the guests were Deborah Harry (Blondie), Brooke Shields, Zero Mostel, Mummenschanz, even Elke Sommer. etc. Thought I would post a gem of a clip with Milton Berle; even after years I still enjoy it.

It was nice that they could write it for the adults and kids too. Like the OLD Sesame Street.

Professor Honeydew and Beaker... Swedish Chef... Statler and Waldorf... all timeless!

Pigs in Space (Swine Trek) was good, and Veterenarian's Hospital; the continuing story of a quack who has gone to the dogs....

I grew up watching The Muppet Show, Seasame Street, etc.

For Cartoons, it's mostly Hanna and Barbara's stuff (various), Bugs Bunny, etc.

Don't find any cartoons/animations released since the 80s all that facinating at all.

My son is into T.U.F.F puppies and such and for me it's just lack a bit of grown up (maturity) humour within.

Q.

Thx for sharing. Brings back a lot of memories.

Besides the show, one of my favorie lines is from the Muppet Movie by Fozzie: "A bear in his natural habitat ... a Studebaker", which led to kidding my wife that the minivan was hers during the years of school and athletics.

Thanks for posting.

Didn't an organization come out and declare some of the Muppet characters "insensitive" to certain people? (not to throw a wet rag at reminiscing)

Yeah they thought of canning Kermit and Miss Piggy after complaints from the French and the Police.
