The journey of man. Stuck in "R"

You'd have to be an IDIOT to break into a home in the Southern US - with how many guns they have, you're just ASKING to have your head blown off.

NOT that I think this is a bad thing, entirely. Its just funny that with the strong self-defence attitude in the south, people STILL break into homes...

Investigators say the couple were just defending their family and probably won't be charged.

Good.

Can't wait to hear what happens to the kid who got away when he heals up and goes to jail. He's going to be pretty popular.

Good win for the good guys.

I'm confused. The headline is the woman killed the guy, but when I read the story, it seems her husband pulled the trigger.

Or am I suffering from reading comprehension issues today?

Either it made for a better headline, or the husband is some sort of slave and will only do exactly what his wife says, thus making any action by him the responsibility of his wife.

Nice to see something positive in the news anyway!

He obviously wasn't prepared to murder her ..at least at that moment.

..but he got the consequences of trespassing upon another with malice of intent.

So why is it that you emptied the magazine into the guy? Well, every time I shot him, he moved so I kept shooting!

Good for them. The suspect's age is irrelevant.

It's also odd that they talk about a shot gun, but then say the wounded intruder was hit by a "bullet".

Was it loaded with slugs? Or, is it just typical media bad reporting.

There's been an ongoing problem down here of armed security guards losing their weapons to even individual in a hold up.

Unarmed homeowners turning their own weapons against the crooks is gutsy. It's their castle after all.

From what I've experienced, this is what most women expect in a relationship nowadays anyways...

Oh I wouldn't be surprised if it was bad reporting.

"Well, never say that I'm sort in the hospitality dept", Hoehn said, "He acted like he wanted more. So, I gave it to him".
