There is no way to tell what is on owners mind. But I would be very surprised if we ever see the low price of $2.97 a pop for ST oil filters again.any speculation on what will happen with Supertech filters?
Walmart will negotiate withsomeone to produce oil filters for them. Possibly multiple suppliers.
Maybe there's some hope, Champion Labs looks to reopenSo now that PGI has bought some First Brand filter right any speculation on what will happen with Supertech filters? Will it be a standard PGI filter? Thoughts?
They can't get back to manufacturing soon enough!Maybe there's some hope, Champion Labs looks to reopen
Maybe they will just rebrand the Tech line. I already have some purolator Techs for my Camry. Running one now. Got them on Amazon 3-4 dollars.I hope PGI makes them, but, since Walmart seems to be in bed with Purolator/Mann, I bet they're negotiating with them for a "cheaper" filter as an option to the 20K Gold garbage on the shelves.
Purolator Gold - 20K, $9-$11
Purolator Supertech - 10K - $5 or so.
If any of them reopen, it will be the former Champion Labs in Albion , IL as they were not a Union shop.I doubt any of the USA plants will be re-opened for long. But let’s see.
I do think that is an official Walmart site for Supertech. A lot of AI slop nonsense in it.I noticed that Supertech's official website doesn't show oil filters in their lineup of products anymore.

Oddly enough their contact info seems to refer to an apartment block: 540 Spring Street, Lincoln, IL 62656
