So now that PGI has bought some First Brand filter right any speculation on what will happen with Supertech filters? Will it be a standard PGI filter? Thoughts?

Maybe PGI will get the ruffled leaf spring stamping issue fixed if they are going to fire up the existing manufacturing equipment.

I hope PGI makes them, but, since Walmart seems to be in bed with Purolator/Mann, I bet they're negotiating with them for a "cheaper" filter as an option to the 20K Gold garbage on the shelves.

Purolator Gold - 20K, $9-$11
Purolator Supertech - 10K - $5 or so.

Maybe they will just rebrand the Tech line. I already have some purolator Techs for my Camry. Running one now. Got them on Amazon 3-4 dollars.

Changing the design from what was made there before may require some retooling and changes to vendors. We will see if they reopen with the old product and maybe retool on later production or stay closed while they redesign and retool.

I noticed that Supertech's supposedly official website doesn't show oil filters in their lineup of products anymore.

Oddly enough their contact info, listed under "Informations", seems to refer to an apartment block: 540 Spring Street, Lincoln, IL 62656

I tried emailing them at [email protected] and got a bounce saying:
"The response from the remote server was:
550 No mailbox by that name is currently available"
