The ultimate non right to repair transmissions that have been here for over 20 years now?
Yes the CVT's, and absolutely none of the dealerships sell rebuild parts for them at all.
So why is that? Yes there are some brands that have some after market parts available, but not many.
Sure you can find some unknown origin parts on Ebay and such, but who would want to go through all the required work
and then have to do it again in a month because the unknown quality of the push belt you got, goes poof after 100 miles or so.

What it interesting that no one rebuilds these en masse. In theory, they should be straightforward.
I have seen a youtube video where someone rebuilt on with alibaba parts.

There are a few tricky things on some of them, but the most difficult obstacle is finding the parts.

Gotta like how anyone repairing those honda cvt's are all in other country's. I guess they can't afford to buy a new one if it breaks, here its like no one cares, just no big deal to pay 6k or more for one, everyone can afford it.
