I was at work today and found this at the oil recycle bin stuck on a bottle
of quaker state.
Question (myth or fact)
1.if the oil is dark or black when drained,this indicates a problem.
2.using synthetic motor oil will void a warranty.
3.you can switch from synthetic oil to conventional oil or vice
versa anytime you want.
4.thicker motor oil is better for your engine and increases
engine life.

1.myth.if the oil is doing its job of cleaning the engine,it should be dirty
when drained.
2.myth.as long as the synthetic product meets the viscosity
requirements.
3.fact.as long as the synthetic product meets the viscosity
requirements.

particularly in cold weather,and for proper lubrication
