I guess it was bound to happen? Im seeing all kinds of discounted pricing on all EVs. I think goes to show the consumer may not have been getting that $7,500 vs the dealerships and industry. Now that the tax credit is gone many of these vehicles can be had for almost the same price as before the rebates.

Now you can order a $59,999 Base CyberTruck on Tesla's website, yeah, it really exists. I'm thinking we will see more on the roads around here. It's not exactly a rare sight anymore. Kind of routine to see one here and there.

I thought I read it all but when clicking to order I see the catch. Price increases on Feb 28th ... same old stuff, have no clue what the price will be after the 28th.

The “catch” is that price only lasts for 10 days (about 5 more days from now), then goes back up. This is just a marketing gimmick.

This is a new base vehicle. IN the link I provided it does say the price will go up. However it is not an existing model that has been discounted.
Depending on demand, according to your link, Tesla will decide if they continue the model.

Im not too sure I would call discounting a vehicle in a base trim a gimmick. It's more like a trial. Companies do it all the time. You can order the Base CyberTruck today at the price.

Tesla is doing a pump the numbers scheme to see if they can get a few more suckers oops I mean buyers to help them unload the many still sitting on lots.

I know right? Like the only reason to get AWD in the GM EVs is they are MUCH quicker 0-60. Maybe one day I can find a used Cybertruck RWD that they made for a short period of time. That would be perfect for me.
They sold for three whole months. I wonder how many were actually made.

I don't know but it's the perfect vehicle for me. Actually no, a Model Y Premium RWD with a more boxy shape and with the steer by wire the Cybertruck has would be perfect for me... but they don't make that.

Remember, during one of the fuel crises, the Cadillac dealership which promoted sales by throwing in a Yugo?

How 'bout including a Harley-Davidson in the back of every CT? ....call it "narrow niche marketing".

edit: If this one is $60k on special, what does it cost regularly?
