It may have been mentioned but here is the breakdown of the lower Tesla sales in Europe for the month of January.

Surely you jest? Without Elon you got none of this. When will Tesla consider replacing the CEO? If I was a Tesla shareholder I'd want that. He's a drag on the company and on sales.
Not easy when he is such a big shareholder.
A couple of months ago friends who were about to buy an EV wouldn't even consider a Tesla because of the company's CEO. They knew that Tesla has a great Supercharger network, that Teslas have well worked out systems, etc. Didn't matter.
It should also be noted that from the same AI article overview it also said.It should be noted that Tesla China sales were up 8.8% for the year 2024
However, in January 2025, Tesla's sales in China fell 11.5% from the previous year.
Never going to happen as it would immediately undercut the UAW labor agreements put in place over the last couple of years. You will get a used EV and be grateful because national security. /sChinese-made EVs are more affordable than Tesla's models and are on par with or even surpass them in build quality.
Chinese manufacturers have started implementing silicon-carbide battery technology, which is already available in the U.S. in devices like the OnePlus 13 phone. These new batteries represent a significant advancement.
To increase EV adoption in America and expand the EV charging network, we should eliminate tariffs on EVs that meet federal safety regulations. Not everyone can afford the high cost of a Tesla or even a Hyundai EV, but products like those from BYD could offer more affordable options for average American families.
Good point January sales down, and it could be a leading indicator or simply a one off.It should also be noted that from the same AI article overview it also said.
Tariffs war with China is already lost.Chinese-made EVs are more affordable than Tesla's models and are on par with or even surpass them in build quality.

I would have guessed it was sarcasm even without you tagging it as such.Never going to happen as it would immediately undercut the UAW labor agreements put in place over the last couple of years. You will get a used EV and be grateful because national security. /s
I believe that we as Americans have devolved into a submissive nation with a defeatist attitude, yet somehow still believe we’re the only ones who have “freedom” and are better than everyone else, ranking #1 in confidence worldwide. This comment is not directed at you by any means—I am speaking in general terms, as an American.Tariffs war with China is already lost.
Europeans are much quicker to react to Melon Husk’s bad behavior than we are here in the US. He’s been meddling in German and British affairs. That is not consequence-free. He is making enemies at a record pace. We would have to go to a historical figure for comparison. Also, keep in mind that in this day and age, Europeans are not as spineless as we are. They also eat less McDonald’s.I think that we may be missing the elephant in the room when pondering the large declines in Tesla sales in most of the EU.
