So I put money down on my "new" Subaru yesterday, been thinking about it a lot as I can't pick it up until Saturday (it's 3 hours away, schedule conflicts).

Dreamed that I was leaving college (years ago, long other story) and had the Legacy all packed up, and driving away down the road. The steering wheel tilt sticks a little, so I leave the wheel in a more downward position than I normally do. This obscures the gauge cluster a bit, and covers up a Check Engine Light and a few others. So I dream that I move my head to see the gauges better, and the Oil Pressure dummy light is on! I pull over, shut if off, and pull the dipstick....it's coated with shiny metal bits, and when touched they seem to grow larger into big metal shards (like a bad transmission gear oil). I'm freaking out! I just got this car!! Maybe subconsciously I am nervous about the condition of the engine? UOA right away!

Then an ex-girlfriend tells me I have a Galant VR4 in storage from our past relationship, so I should not worry about it, but I need to go pick it up by today. :)

Usually my old college dreams are about me missing classes (for like the first 5 weeks), patching things up with old friends that never happened, things like that. Looks like my craze for oil and Subarus has finally crept in.

Yep, you need help.

Meant to ask the other day, there were no Subaru's in Houston? Had to go all the way to Austin?

If you want any hope for normalcy and less than 100 qts of oil in your basement/garage, stop reading BITOG if you can and before you hit 1000 posts... it has invaded your brain too significantly for you to be normal in society.

You will become one of us soon :)

Yeah, I lost all my post counts when the new format went into effect, I've been here on BITOG for 5 years or so :)

No good Subarus in Houston, Hurricane Ike has had a lot of seemingly nice cars in our area turn into flooded junk piles that people are hiding

This Subie was a killer deal as well, and when brought up to date have a much higher resale value than an older Impreza or Legacy, so that will help when I can finally afford an '09 WRX...in 2015 :D
