Has anybody else check the temperatures of the various components of their vehicle to see what they are under normal conditions?

ie:

2000 excursion diesel 4x4 with automatic
All lubes are Amsoil

component temp with outside temp at 93 degrees F

tires 108 F
front diff 100 F Series 2k 75w90
center diff 125 F ATF
rear diff 130 F Series 2k 75w90
Trans 126 F ATF
engine pan 132 F 15w40 AME

This was after a 70 mile drive from Payson to Mesa up and down 6 degree grades but last 7 miles on relatively flat ground so the components may have cooled off to normal.

You've got one of those laser pointed infared thermometers, eh?

What's fun is to zap the edges and centers of your tires, to see where the heat is building up fastest. This can help you find the optimum PSI particularly if you have an aftermarket size.
