Teflon in waxes-Pure hype!

Like this is something we didn't know.

Teflon ®:
A synthetic polymer formula (PTFE) produced by Dupont Chemicals, they state;" The addition of a Teflon® fluoropolymer paint does nothing to enhance the properties of any car wax, we have no data that indicates the use of Teflon® to be beneficial in car waxes.

Teflon® requires a temperature of 680°F for it to sinter or bond to a surface." Unless you can heat the surface to the required temperature, Teflon will not bond, the claim that it will provide a ‘non-stick’, slippery surface is nothing more than marketing hype (i.e. brand recognition)

Studied Marketing. Got as far as an AS (two year) degree then decided to not go any farther in that field.

Guess I had just a few too many morals. The more I learned about corporate America (and its ties [unholy bond] to government) the more disgusted I became.

Lies, half-truths, innuendos, puffery, do whatever is needed to make a profit. Screw the environment, brainwash little kids via advertising, so many aspects of marketing that, though legal, I believe to be immoral.

If corporations were not held at bay by law and piblic opinion, I believe every waterway would be a chemical river. The air would be nearly unbreathable..... the Earth poisoned via the lust for profit.

BAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How I wish I could win the lottery and have the funds to escape our sick society. Some tiny hamlet far out in the middle of nowhere. And a TALL fence. Couple BIG mean dogs.

It's sorta funny then how DuPont markets their own wax now. It is DuPont that sells their own was with Teflon right?

That wax line isn't made by Dupont.
Tenneco,the company that makes Rancho,Monroe shocks,Dynomax,Walker exhaust etc,manufactures the wax and pays for the use of Dupont's name.
