Teflon coating on mower's cutting deck?

I know this is stupid, but I'm bored right now.....Seems like a Teflon coating would make it a lot easier to get those big clumps of grass cleaned off the cutting decks.

Do any mower manufacturers put any special coatings like Teflon on their cutting decks for this purpose?
 
When the paint on the underside of my mower's deck flaked off, I wire prushed it, and sprayed on one of those pressure pack epoxy paints. Two coats.

It's much easier to remove the grass when it doesn't get properly mulched now.
 
I have used a product called "Stay Clean Non-Stick PRETREATMENT" with good success the past few years. I purchased it at Sears. Comes in a spray bottle. You apply a couple coats before mowing to a clean surface. I pressure wash the deck at the end of the year, then apply a couple of coats. I may do it 2 to 3 times during the season. Before that, my stepfather would clog the deck, break belts, etc. Now, build-up is minimal. Since my Stepfather considers the Murray rider I purchased him a brush hog, it has saved me a lot of hassles. I do all the maintenance on the mowers.
 
Teflon needs to be heated to around 600degrees in order to get it to bond so I don't think many companies would want to go through the hassle/expense. It would be nice if they used something a little more durable than what they do. I will have to look into the stayclean, or maybe I will just go cheap and try some cooking spray.

why not just clean it occassionally with a nice water spray? Most decks are cast aluminum, and don't need "protection". If it is steel, a simple repainting every so often will provide all the rust protection it needs.

Seriously, a teflon coating would be nice but wouldn't hold up and would generate a lot of warranty claims. Almost anything will chip it.
 
I tried Slip Plate graphite paint once. It helped for a while, but the "sand blast" nature of grass hitting the deck rubbed it off after several months.

Also, for the riding mower crowd: washing your deck when it is warm can cause pre-mature failure of the spindle bearings (even sealed ones). As the bearing cools, moisture near the seal can be drawn into the bearing. I was my decks as few times as possible.
 
Slip Plate #1, (brush on vs. aerosol), is as close as you can get to a Teflon coating.

You'll need to re-apply it occasionally.

Make sure you mix the can good. Mine had a huge clump of graphite and it took about half an hour of mashing it until it went back into solution.

Apparently this stuff was invented for the railroad industry!!
