I have 2 Victa 4 stroke lawn mowers manufactured either late 80s or early 90s. I used these in my gardening business for 15 years. Since I retired I have been performing maintenance on my equipment prior to selling. The mowers both have compression and I can get them to run but, I need to replace all the gaskets as fuel is running into the cylinder from the Tecumseh carburettor. I have been unable to find a suitable replacement gasket kit. I have attached a picture of the carburettor in the hope that someone will be able to assist.

If the float is metal (brass), replace it. It is the most common cause of this kind of problem on Tecumseh engines. After sitting for a while they get a tiny hole in them, fill with gas, and sink. I'll bet that I have replaced a thousand of them over the years.

Overflowing at rest does not mean replace the bowl gasket. The fuel should never be that high in the bowl to begin with.

Either the float sinks or the needle valve sticks open, which could be just gum buildup or a problem with the rubber valve seat.
