It's not oil and there's no snakes in this.
This product has a long-long history of being quite effective.

I find it most effective when used a bit stronger than advertised on the label. I use a 20oz bottle for 13 gallons and I never use it on a long trip. You want that tank of gas to last about a week, with the vehicle run every day.

That's when it performs best. If your engine runs poorly and you know it's gas-line related, double-the-recommended dose.

it's freed up fuel gauge issues with several used vehicle where I have little knowledge of previous service...so it's worth it to use from time to time for me...

I've had that happen twice before on online orders for Maxlife atf. I hink the locally owned stores don't want to honor the Corp store sales and just cancel them.
