i have a 2004 tacoma prerunner v6 auto. I amcurrently running amsoil 5w30. I was wondering of I should run mobil 1, amsoil s2k, or red line.
My truck sees very low miles, but I am 16 and drive it hard!
Any help would be great!
Thanks Adam

It must be nice to 16 and have an almost new truck. Red line is a favorite by many here but any one of those syn's are good change them out around 8k and do an UOA thats my 2cents.Also enjoy your youth.

Thanks for the reply It is nice to have this truck since I got it new. I was thinking of redline since that is all I run in my quad

I think I will run mobil 1 5w30. I can get it at costco for 24.99 a 6 pack. If I am feeling good I may get redline. My amsoil 5w30 hasn't impressed me. But the truck only has 8000 miles so I think I am doing more than most 16 year olds do for their cars.

I just lost my beloved 92 x cab 4x4 Toy v6 " totalled" . If you like Redline it would work . Any oil woild be fine depending on your oil change interval though as the engine has an oil cooler and low valve spring pressure .The last oil I ran in my Toyo was Mobil 1 Extended Performance 10w30 . The only Amsoil products I would use are the 5w30 HDD oil or the 15w40 diesel marine " which the viscosity "40 " probably is not needed.
