I mixed 4qts t6 5w-40 with 1qt redline 5w30. and half a can of MOS2 150ml.
I put this in a chevy 350. gas

Does anybody think this blend will be safe for the motor?

it was a last minute thing, and I used what I had on hand.

any info is appreciated, thanks

You'll end up with a thick 30 or a thin 40, both of which should be fine. They are very different types of oil, but I can't imagine you'd experience issues.

Man you just might as well have put sugar in the gas tank, the truck is done...just jokin all is fine with that mix

Just might wanna ask those questions BEFORE you mix and match. Most oils are pretty compatible today though.

I was worried that it might cause some issues like smoking or higher oil consumption, or problems with the rings ect...

I dont know I am not a mechanic so I thought ask here, and get the proper oil sooner if there were to be issues.

If you are not a mechanic or and oil expert why would you come up with such a $$ franken-blend? The RL should have enough moly dtc where you wouldnt need to add nasty molydisulfide? You should be OK in a 350. no need for tons of moly on this engine if its a roller, though the piston skirts will appreciate it.
