I run Amsoil 15W40 heavy duty diesel and marine in my 2004 6.0 Powerstroke with an Oilguard bypass. I do not put alot of miles on this truck, probably about 5000 miles a year. Does this oil break down while sitting in my driveway? I'm sure I can go at least 15,000 miles without changing the oil and bypass but thats 3 years of driving and mostly sitting. How often shoul I change this oil and bypass? Thank you...

The oil won't break down just sitting. If you are in a drier part of CA moisture (condensation) shouldn't be a problem either.
You should do a used oil analysis to tell you the condition of the oil - perhaps at the 18 month mark.
