ATF is somewhat amber in color before the oil soluble dye is added.

NS-3 actually has a Blue-green dye in it.

Most step-shift ATF's are dyed red.

I use [Shell?] ATF 134 and also [Shell?] ATF 134 FE. The ATF 134 FE is blue and the regular ATF 134 is red. Guess they do that so you don't mix them up as the previous generation had red fluid.
