Well, thought my cover would keep the water clean over the winter, but with these Oklahoma winds, I've should have known that anything short of shrink wrap will not stand up. So, water was all green and had some junk in the bottom. Got that vacuumed out and then shocked it with hypochloride two days ago. Water is now cloudy white colored and you and smell the chlorine in it, so I know it's cleaning it up pretty well. Haven't taken any readings yet so I'm just winging it here, but what would be my next step to clarify it? Is it time for stabilzer? Do I need the chlorine to evaporate off first? First time pool owner and it's a above ground pool. Been running filter 24/7 since Sunday.
