My Silverado front sway bar bushings are making noise since it’s gotten colder here. I’m going to replace them, my question is should I apply some silicone lube to them or just install them dry? It seems like the silicone would help keep this from happening again?

I always use some lube on sway bar bushings. All the bushing upgrades I purchased
had lube in the package. I did my Silverado a few years ago and no noise whatsoever.
Hell is was 11 degress here this am and all was quiet

I doubt the manufacturer put lube on them from the get go, so I would install the new ones dry.

Thanks everyone. I used the Moog thermoplastic ones and put some Mission silicone grease on them. Quiet as a church mouse!
