It's a 4 stroke about 2 years old with a 5 year warranty. Probably has 20 hours use. I did the proper break-in and oil changes. I noticed a reduction in power so I did a hot compression test with open throttle and I get consistently 125 to 130 using two different gauges. If I inject oil it goes right to 170 psi. Spec is 137 to 199. I brought it to a dealer for warranty check and they said it averaged 150 psi, within spec. Not a warranty issue. 200$ later I brought it home and checked it again. Same results on my end. Except this time I took pictures with my borescope. There are clear pock marks and vertical lines on the cylinder wall. The engine starts right up and runs fine otherwise.any suggestions?

Your gauge might be reading low. Regardless, if it starts and runs well, I wouldn't worry so much. Suzuki typically makes good stuff.

Run tcw3 at i'd say an oz per gallon so about 128:1 if not richer. I've ran richer than that out of curiosity and had no issues or even any smoke in 4 cycles but I only use tcw3. Could also try engine restore additive to help fill that in.

Other than getting a new one that's all you can really do. Don't believe these are rebuildable. That could be honed out and have the ring upsized but would cost as much as a new one i'd imagine. For oil maybe 0/5w-40.

Parts are available but the price is outrageous. I thought about restore. There are a lot of videos showing significant gain in compression, you just have to run it all the time. It would only be 2oz for the 18oz oil capacity.

On small low displacement engines you must use a very short hose otherwise the compression tester will give you an artificially low reading.
