I change just it every 4 mos. with less than 2K so not worth doing an oil analysis IMO. You have to get under and check the CV boots, hoses, etc, anyway so I don't see the point of extended drain.

I think the problems with this oil's lousy test may have been in the weight rather than the oil. The recent test of Pennzoil dino thinned out pretty rapidly too-- any 10W30 should do better. At any rate this stuff will probably be identical to Shell in the near future, unless Wal-Mart owns and cares about the recipe. I think 2K is a bit much to change any SL oil, even ST.

Csande is probably correct but it only costs $6 with a ST filter to change it and you should see how brown/black the poop is after 4 months. It's also a reminder to do the other routine maintenance at the same time.
