I know that this stuff it not getting a lot of positive feedback, I've read it all. I have about 28 quarts of this Nissan Ester 5w30, and just wondered how it would be to run on normal 3k intervals on a normal (non-nissan) 4 cyl engine? I've used Edge, M1, and PP is currently in the car. How does this stuff compare for normal 3k intervals?

I should work fine in you Kia. Just in case you don't know this but Nissan is using the term ester pretty freely. The base stock of this oil is not an ester. There are some ester additives in it but the base stock is not an Group V ester.

I read that somewhere on this site. So, if that is the case. What does this tuff most resemble? Is it just a basic conventional 5w30 with some added ester? Is it total [censored]? Would I be better off running some name brand cheap conventional? Is there any real benefit aside from the higher moly count that I've seen?

You would probably get as much benefit running one of the quality high mileage oils that have some ester additives in it. I believe the Maxlife has a decent amount of moly in it.

Could you name these "quality high mileage oils that have some ester additives"?

Valvoline, Pennzoil, Quaker State, Castrol, Mobil 1 High Mileage, plus I'm sure there are more. It is the ester additives in these High Mileage oils that help soften and swell the seals to help stop leaks.
