Subway calls ‘emergency’ meeting with franchisees as sales plummet

I had Subway today at the airport. Good sandwich.
They might not be around in a few years if sales keep dropping and customers not eating out.

So Subway corporate collects a percentage of gross sales from every franchise, so they need to borrow money for what exactly? Zombee company - borrow money to pay interest on earlier loans?

I think there not long for the world. Likely the plan all along - lever up, suck money out, force it into creditor protection with sympathetic courts due to all the independent franchisees. Gotta love VC math.

I like subway. Of fast food options it's always been one of my favorites. And I have noticed their new signature subs to be better than the old same old same ol.

Plus, I order on the app and get a discount on the order 9 out of 10 times. Lately pretty much any footlong is 6.99

I’m all for smaller government but the truth in advertising should apply to the prepared food industry..
You ever get a sub that looked like this at Subway?View attachment 236120
AGREE!!!!!!! I was thinking this all the time about this company. IF the sandwiches were anything like the advertisements they would take over the world. That is the problem, even paying for extra meat doesnt equal that photo.

I may have to revisit after reading about "signature" subs then.

I downloaded the app but I can't seem to get any kind of a discount. For example, I am looking at a footlong + one cookie and taxes for something like $17. Do I need to officially join the app and give it all my CC info in order to get that price?

VC are vultures and will try to suck every penny out of Subway….

When you go in a place, and the employees are looking at you like: "what do you want", the company will not survive. I used to eat Subway many times a week, I like simple clean subs, but have not eaten there in years now.
