ZF 8-speed fluid is always expensive. Ravenol makes an approved ATF and sells it at a lower price:

If you search the page you will find 2 MOPAR approvals:

I got the Ravenol fluid that is made for my car and saved a great deal of money.

This guy is pushing close to 200K miles with his ZF 8 speed and has used Valvoline MaxLife Multi-Vehicle ATF with no issues.
