Subaru Battery Woes

I know I've mentioned it before, but the 3 subarus I owned. A 2012, 2014 and 2016 all had ridiculous under 400cca OEM batteries in them. Even with synthetic 0w20, they would crank disturbingly slow on cold winter starts.

Undersized batteries, under powered HVAC systems and terrible OEM tires. All for vehicles marketed for their winter prowess. Yet they're crazy popular in my area.

Yes. It had a hard time starting in cold weather (-30 or so), they did a test, said it was showing as bad on the tester, and put a more powerful Subaru battery in under the warranty.

It's been fine for four years since.
