So I have been throwing some stupid money into fixing my mini tiller. Symptoms are when I decrease the choke it dies and when I want to use the auger ( throttle cable) it dies.

For the first chimers of fuel. Fresh fuel with seafoam added for long term storage. Fuel filter was changed a while back but the tiller hasn't seen any real action in 2 years.

I'm left with trying some carb cleaner which I didn't think of using since I just put on a used working oem carb I got from a motorcyclist shop off eBay. The tiller runs great at idle with full choke.

The carb needs a goood cleaning of it's internal passages. If the "high speed" (maine jet circuit is blocked with crud, the fuel system cleaner isn't going to be able to get to it to dissolve it. A VERY fine copper wire works. Got to take it off, though, to do that.

when was the fresh fuel added? and define fresh.

My neighbors lawnmower wouldnt start with 60 day old gas in it.

seafoam isnt really a good fuel stabilizer either and if you added an excess amount can cause issues also.

Fuel is less than week old. Same day added seafoam with 1gal to 1ounce ratio.
