Stuck power lock

After 21 years of actuation, the p/s lock on my 91 BMW 318i is stuck in the down position.

Can't get it to go up with the key or electrical actuation.

Any advice? I'm assuming that it will be tough to pop the door skin with it closed.

Yeah, I remembered that it only worked on the drivers door, but thought your car might have been old enough to be an exception. I'm apparently wrong

Maybe you could convince a victim passenger to reach out the window and try to unlock it using a spare key as you drive along a rumble strip? Fog the door with kroil? Borrow a "bass box" and "pump dat schiznit up"?

It should...... The drivers door has a mechanical link with the lock, pulling the handle twice unlocks the door.

Nope, Ive owned the car for 10 years, for which the locks have been flawless, but never done that.

My 135i does what you describe.

Must be a newer feature then. Both of ours do it but I'm not sure as to when they started using that feature
