strut mount has 2 bolts ,not 3, is it usable?

Hi all car in question, is a 1998 toyota corolla. Last year, i bought from napa, 2 new napa response struts, for the rear. I noted, on both struts, the rubber mounts ontop, their were only 2 bolts....OEM is 3 bolts. i used the old mounts unfortunatly, as bcause the 2 new bolts barely lined up with the mount holes in frame. and yes, i turned the mount left , right teak, and they didnt even fit the holes.
tonight i need new front struts. rockauto, i purchased 2 new unity struts. the pic dosnt show the complete top of mount with strut kit, but it shows 2 so far. are these going too fit? or am i likely going too have too purchase 2 new months with 3 bolts in them????
incase its only 2 bolts in hte unity mount..what size bolt are those?im gunna make a 3rd hole/insert bolt..

Sounds like my issue with 95 Geo Prizm, bought 2 side mirrors off a 95 Corolla, 2 out of 3 bolts lined up, still looks a little 'off'.

lol. Well last year, back of my corolla was so bad, it wasliterally almost touching the ground. so was forced too go to my local napa and buy the napa response stuts. Pricey too, they were like $130.00 each. rockauto has similar ones for half that! fully loaded struts... again, the napa resonse struts, the mounts, had 2 bolts, not 3. i need 3. i took the mount off, and tried too place it through the mount holes by hand under the frame. the bolts would NOT line up with the holes. napa wants $57 a new mount. [censored]! rockauto has em for like $13 and up, but of course hte S+H which is like $20 [censored] if you od, [censored] if you dont.
so!!! if my new unity struts have 2 bolts, would anyone know what size the mount bolts are? so i dont have too buy and wait more time on new strut mounts?: )

So there isn't a tapped hole for a loose bolt to go in the other way?

I would have tried APXauto for their struts. Got a set of 4 quick struts for my 97 civic for under $230 shipped.

Honda struts are two bolts, maybe they mixed up part numbers? I would take them back. I realize you probably have the car apart and need to get it on the road quickly. I would want something that fit properly especially with suspension components.

That's how the rear in my 2003 corolla is set up.

1998 was the first year of the 8th generation Corolla in the US, but it was already a year or two old in other parts of the world. I've had similar issues getting parts for my wife's 2002 Corolla which was it's last year here. I usually look up parts for a 2001 model and compare them to make sure they are correct. You may be the 'victim' of something similar. NAPA really should be taking care of you..
