Stripping powder coating from Rims ? Brazing Rims

Hello,

I decided that I wan't to polish my Aluminum previously powder coated rims ...

any easy way to strip powder coat ?

I have some small curb rush .. I plan to use those brazing sticks ... any thoughts on that

I'm not sure what you'll be doing, but careful with the heat. Anything over 400°F and you risk ruining the hardness (and strength) of the alloy. Strength is critical in the hub area and rim.

I have stripped powder coating fairly easily on a few items using aircraft stripper. After hearing of the alleged toughness of powder coating, I was surprised at how easily it lifted using stripper.
