Straight talk or Crickett?

You might like visible as I've used it. 1 line is $25 and it uses the Verizon network really well. Other carriers lease out capacity differently so it's never identical.
^^^ Yes, great post and I also forgot about them.
Visible IS owned by Verizon and your $25 IS YOUR ACTUAL PAYMENT> Sounds like something that would be perfect if the OP wants Verizon

I choose ATT Prepaid annual plan for $300 per year, no tax if you buy a phone card at target.

I use them because they offer data rollover, and you can use phone and data in Mexico and Canada for no additional charge. Many other carriers only work in US.

I have a 3 year old 2nd gen IPhone SE PHONE.
That is likely issue with T Mobile . They have a great 5g network however sparse LTE/4g your particular model iPhone se2 uses.

The best carrier for LTE 4g is typically Verizon or Verizon supported (StraightTalk, Invisible….) especially rural areas.

I’ve decided to go with Crickett and go with a IPhone11 for $99. If Verizon wasn’t so proud of their price for service at $77 I’d have stayed with them.

Hopefully it works well! Cricket is backed by ATT cell towers.
I was told by coworker today that t mobile works well if you’re in city. Hopefully cricket will work or I may go TracFone route. My IPhone SE still works great to be honest

So, cricket with their pay 3 month “stuff” isn’t cutting it. Going with tracfone as they are much cheaper
Tracfone AT&T ?
Have you looked into Redpocket ? I have RP - Verizon - 1000 min talk / unlimited text / 1 GB data for $99 year .... prepaid .

Tracfone I believe is verizon
Tracfone is all Verizon now, Verizon bought them. I have had TF for a decade now, more or less, have so many minutes & data saved that I just buy the $5 text pack once yearly, & it lets me add the year of service for $50. However, Adam, if you’re a heavy data user, Visible (also owned by Verizon) for $25/month unlimited will be cheaper.

I think I’ll try tracfone. Easy to set up and is cheap with autopay.

Like I said above, TF unlimited call/text & only 8 GB/month of rollover data is $40, Visible is $25. My Tracfone is a secondary emergency phone, my company ATT unlimited is primary, so I don’t need to use mine much @ only $55 a YEAR. I just have places I go for work that are Verizon or nothing, so the TF iPhone is there in an emergency. Or when ATT decides like being worthless…

If reliability is the answer, Verizon is the only option. I deal with many rural areas and it's the only thing that seems to work everywhere, so with your options Straight Talk is the choice. The only thing that Straight Talk probably misses out on is tower priority to Verizon customers.

When I was expediting I could literally be driving anywhere in the country that had a road. I had one Verizon and one ATT phone. Both had a fair amount of no coverage although not always in the same place. Having both took me from maybe 80% to 90% signal coverage. When I retired I dropped ATT and a while later dropped Verizon for Sprint when they had a promo bring your bill and get the same coverage for 50% cost. Had that a few years and then went to Tello. Now for unlimited talk/text and 1GB data I pay $10.16 a month. Compared to what I had I give it at least a 9.5, good enough for me getting a year for the same as 2 months prior cost.
