STP SYN Motor Oil Used

SEARCH did not do me well.
I am selling my Mercedes to auction. It will be its last oil change.
I want to use a 0W synthetic that is economical (cheapest Found).
Was considering STP SYN motor oil.
Any comments, Good/Bad/Indifferent.

I have owned Cobra's and Coups. V6 Ran perfect for 350,000 miles plus. Cobra still running almost 200K miles.
Used Mobil 1 ES in motor, Amsoil + Ford friction modifier with new diferentials, FORD synthetic ATF in power steering, Used Ford synthetic ATF in manual transmission. Ford heavy duty DOT3, ect..

As long as the Merc doesn't require any special oil certifications, use whatever you want. STP synthetic should be as good as any other mid-tier syn but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it.

Why would you be the least bit concerned on what SN motor oil goes into this Mercedes if you're never going to see it again? I can guarantee not one of the potential bidders will care what SN quality oil you ended up putting in...nor would they ask. Odds would favor the next owner is going to dump it shortly after buying it.

Cheapest 0w synthetic? Pennzoil Platinum is still on sale through the rest of the year...though only 0w-20 is available at $2.50/qt after rebate. Why do you require a 0w for a car you won't own? Isn't a 5w or 10w specced for this vehicle? That would give you more flexibility in finding a "cheap" synthetic.

Yeah, why the zero dub? What's the spec? ACEA A3/B4? 40 grade or 30 grade?

Remember you likely wont be buying a "real" synthetic in N.A. so the 0W-XX will be compromised vs a nice 10W.

Dont understand why anyone would want to hunt a certain oil for a car bound to the auction.. anyways probably Supertech 0w or Carquest 0W will b the cheapest for you.

Is this the same car that you overheated to its death?
Don't worry about changing the oil.
The thing is a $500.00 car at auction at most.

Prepping the Blue Devil head gasket repair today, I flushed out the coolant system. Opened drain cock on radiator, filled overflow tank and used garden hose water pressure to flush, from removing the bottom skinny hose next to water pump on passenger side stemming down from expansion tank..
Water appears to have filled the supercharger and was coming out of the 5" long tube sticking out the side that I thought was a broken vacuum line.
I will move on with repairs best I can. Removing spark plug should relieve internal pressure. i have to read up on that
.
