Here’s another gem. Off a 24’ Toyota RAV4 at work. Had 7,500 miles on STP Syn 0w20 and this.

In/on: PROTEC 10332 and more Safety Kleen 0w20

Topic AZ STP XL what's sold locally here, made by Champs Labs. What I can see, looks fine. That said, wonder what the bypass seal area like.

@53' Stude for those of us mere mortals, perhaps you might lend your thoughts on filters you would recommend?
Perhaps start with the Honda size, such as XG7317 which fits many Nissans, Mazdas and others.
I have been using Honda OE (Fram TG I believe) and XG7317. I just purchased 2 Premium Guards as the Frams apparantly have slipped.

Me personally I like any Prime Guard/Premium Guard and or federated, Pentius and CQ premium. I may hold onto my XG 16’s r donate them to someone here now that I got case of 14670 Federated.

I won’t touch any new ultra, or endurance as Zee09 said FRAM/ first brands: first to last

Honestly, the ruffles don't look terrible but the oil on it does limit what can be seen. Media, ecore, & metal end caps are a nice.

Seeing some FRAM PRO’s at work and few of them have bypass ruffles. ECORE and metal endcaps though.

With the issues that I’ve personally seen with Fram this past year. Cans rusting and filter element failing. I won’t buy another, just my opinion. I know it can happen to any brand but fool me twice lol

Sure an Ecore center tube flows well, but so do holes or well opened louvers. The media is what has the most flow restriction in an oil filter.
