STP S-10590 CUT OPEN

This filter was off a 2023 Ford F-150 with 3.5 v-6 engine for 5k. Not pretty at all.

In/on: Safety Kleen 5w30 Synthetic and PROTEC 57045 filter

I am not sure when it happened, but it now seems that all of the "blue can" STP filters now have the fiber end cap filter media. I think you have to move up to the "black can" in order to get metal end caps.

Oh man rain on my parade as I been using these in the shop thinking they were a decent filter and based on past C&P they really did look decent. Is this truly the new build construction of all STP blues or just certain part #s? Is Fram making these now? If so I am done with these and will just use the hopefully better STP XL filters that I also use.
