I had this filter laying around. Didn’t think I’d use it so I cut it open. Made in Korea. Looks ok other than dented in part of metal seam. Enjoy the pics

Not crazy about the angled pleat area shown in pic #4 and the last pic. Realizing that pics can be deceptive at times, especially last pic looks as though the endcaps are not parallel. Could be an optical illusion because of the angled pleat area. Not sure.

Excepting those observations, looks ok.

Yes, I’d say filter was damaged sometime. Doubt I did it but

In pic #2 those holes sure look like they have A LOT of metal exposed to cut the ADBV to ribbons!

I used one of those filters on a 1.0 ecoboost Focus I used to have and the engine was exceptionally quiet. Was much louder with Motorcraft and Mobil 1 filters interestingly enough. Most cars I have used one of these on seemed to "like" it. Not exactly sure what it says about the filter, but I have used them again since they came with oil change deals at Autozone.
