Since it's Anaheim in California, I suspect the store owner will be arrested, charged, and spend time in prison. The thieving scum ahem, mostly peaceful shoppers, will be located, apologized to, and given compensation for the emotional trauma they unfairly endured.

With owning weapons there comes responsibility and culpability to laws in firing them.

The problem with that argument when it comes to the "catch and release" states is that they seem to have the manpower and resources for prosecuting law abiding citizens for defending themselves, or for small or petty infractions, but will not do so for the serious criminals and serious crimes being committed, citing lack of "resources".

Except the shop owner now has to repair damage to his store. He has to deal with the emotional trauma of having his property attacked while knowing it could have been him and his employees, and still might face charges for having the audacity to defend himself, his employees, and his property.

Meanwhile the thugs excuse me, mostly peaceful shoppers, are still running free and will no doubt target someone else with similar tactics. Or maybe in their warped minds will now feel justified in going after this business owner when he isn't in is fortified bunker of a shop.

That was pretty much exactly how it looked. I totally get the store owner's frustration. There have been multiple smash and grab robberies all around LA at jewelers. The security camera footage showed maybe 20 or more people waiting to get in and join in the rampage.

To think they got away results in a major risk to the safety and security of that area. To be happy they got away without nobody being injured or dead is very shortsighted. These organized criminals going uncaught, unconfined, and unconvicted will unquestionably result in an increase in loss of innocent life at a future date.

I watched an interview, he seemed pretty well emotionally after all said and done.

The repairs are glass no one got in.

He did not get hurt/killed along with employees along with the mob so no severe charges and worrying about much about legalities.

The owner again has very little culpability here and minor if any legal issues. The course of injuring/killing few would not change that mob or their ways. Maybe make people feel better on story.
