Okay, the thought crossed my mind...

I'm loving the Kelly Nav golds on the wife's car. They even ate a nail and came out fine. I'm quite sad that they are getting rid of them. So, since my car won't need them until spring, I've considering buying a few Navs at a time, and storing them away until spring.

They would be inside, covered up nicely with a few blankets.

Your thoughts?

Nope. I was told that they are already done making them.

It makes me wonder why...new product, I guess....

Store them in black plastic garbage bags sealed up.
That's what I've always heard...Limits UV and oxygen contact that dries the rubber out.

A tire stash? That's an interesting concept. Let me run it by the wife....

No, apparently that is a bad idea...

They're really that good? And living in MI, I assume you have snows for the winter and will put on new tires in spring?

This for a 3rd car that hardy sees snow anyways.....my gut tells me I would be fine. (Milage on the car is low anyways)

I've already considered picking up an extra kelly Nav tire just in case.....

Nope. We ran the all seasons Goodyears she had on her car for 6 MI winters, and never had a problem. Her Kelly Navs only saw a quarter of a MI winter, but they have great traction in snow and ice.....Also thick enough to take our pothole filled roads around here...

I've only seen two tires that run close: Goodyear Comfort Treads, and now the Cooper Responses. I like the tread on both.

Another idea might be the mich X radial from Sam's.......
