Hi. What do you guys think of this stuff?

Gear oil stop leak

I have a seal leak in my front diffy on my 2000 Blazer. My mechanic says it is a costly repair. One that I don't want to spend the money on.
Anyways, this guy has sold a ton of this stuff, and with 100% positive feedback. I think I'm going to give it a shot. Thanks

I don't know about that stuff. I never use stop leak or recommend it. Although, my brother had a very bad power steering fluid leak on his OLDS Alero and I didn't feel like looking at it and fixing it for free and he didnt even want to buy parts really. He put this stuff in it http://www.amazon.com/ATP-AT-205-Re-Seal-Stops-Leaks/dp/B000NVW1LM.

When checked about the next day it had stopped leaking and hasn't caused any problems over the past week or two. He was basically losing all the fluid in his power steering reservoir almost overnight and the ATP stuff stopped the leak. I didn't look to find where the leak source was but I can say this stuff did stop a bad power steering leak to my surprise.

Haha I was just looking at the reviews and I'm certain this is my brother's review http://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-revi...ostRecentReview . I didn't even know he left a review. Well it's been almost 2 weeks since that review and it is not leaking. I don't think his steering feels heavier now. It's and Alero with variable power assist and is really nice and light by design. Most of the reviews are positive. I think this stuff might be a seal conditioner instead of just a "stop leak" gumming product.

I just wanted to add that ATP is a legitimate automatic transmission parts supplier http://www.atp-inc.com/products.aspx. The stuff you linked seems to be a similar product, but the ATP stuff seems to be priced better and maybe more legitimate. Who knows maybe this stuff will be considered on par with additives like Lubegard and MMO?

If you're going to the additive route to stop a seal leak, I'd go with the ATP.
