Stock Headlight Wattage 2000 Ford Ranger??

Does anyone know what the stock wattage for headlights for a 2000 Ford Ranger is? One of my bulbs blew and I want to make sure I get the right wattage. I don't want to put to powerful of a wattage in there and then I have melted wires on my hands you know? It seems like everything comes stock 55w/65w on most cars and trucks but I might be wrong. I know the truck takes 9007 style bulbs.

Standard 9007 wattage (DOT approved, not those glaring Xenon/blue colour types): 55Watts lowbeam/65Watts highbeam per bulb.

If your wiring harness is hot/melts then there's something wrong with your connection (high resistance somewhere). Granted that you didn't go overboard RE: installing those freakky 110Watts per bulb aftermarket 9007s (that posed unnecessary loads thus the extra heat that melts the wiring), you should have yoru wiring/electrical wiring checked.
