Has anyone found a good pour spout that fits the newest Castrol quart bottles (specifically the green high mileage bottles)? Please advise & thanks!

To do oil changes I have numerous funnels for the different cars, this would be for a top-up here and there.Similar to this is what I need:

The large diameter quarts have been out for a couple years now. I may look at 3D printing one if I have to.

There are a lot of manufacturers going to the large cap. I 3D printed one I found over the weekend and though larger didn't fit (the guy that posted it was from the UK - they may use a different size). While downstairs I noticed my sons Motorcraft bottles diesel & traditional also have gone to the larger size.

Keep in mind there are different Castrol quarts for different Castrol products depending on where you buy it. For example, O’Reilly has the more squareish bottles with smaller opening for quarts of white bottle GTX and green bottle GTX High Mileage while Edge at O’Reilly has the “regular” shape oil bottles with bigger opening. On the other hand Walmart uses the “regular” shape bottles with bigger opening for GTX, GTX High Mileage, and edge. Except they have the squareish small opening bottles for GTX synthetic?

Aren't quarts insanely overpriced? I haven't bought quarts in fifteen years. A five quart jug will cost $25 and a quart almost $10. I never understood the crazy pricing model.

I think it makes sense.

A bigger unit usually is a better value overall.

Keep in mind the labor of restocking the shelves is on a per item basis so the labor to stock one quart is the same as one jug.

You’re also likely buying additional products with higher margins like an oil filter or air filter if you’re buying the big one.

Also if it’s a parts store, many customers ask the employee to look up what kind of oil they need and maybe for help topping it up. Let’s say that takes 5 minutes start to finish. That’s a time and labor investment that mostly only applies to quart bottles.

Also while who knows what discounted processing rates big companies get but in the credit card industry a fixed fee plus a percentage is common. A random small business might pay $0.30 + 2.9%. I bet a national chain like Walmart or AutoZone pays far less but still, it’s not free.

Also assume miscellaneous non-labor costs for processing the $10 transaction and $30 transaction are the same. Receipt paper, computer data storage, etc. If profit per oil container sold needs to be $X amount, selling quarts must be priced higher than simply the price of a 5-quart divided by 5.

I could go on lol.
