Sport mode and fuel dilution

Would the higher RPM using sport mode help mitigate fuel dilution in any meaningful way?

Apologies if this is a dumb question and/or been discussed as a search didn’t provide any results.

I’ve wondered this for my hybrid Sienna. The oil level has gone up since winter cold came in, so when we drive to church on Sunday, I put it in Sport mode, as the engine runs more. Our drive to church is a 10 mile drive including country miles, so it does get fully warmed up. The level has not gone down any, but I don’t know that it will.

I’ll be changing the oil in 800 miles anyway, so it may not matter.

I run our CX5 turbo in sport mode a lot. mainly because I just like how it feels and I had no fuel dilution on the single oil analysis I did so with only sample no way to really know for my particular car but I still like doing it :)

for the most part, use sport mode when completely warmed up, cold engine can lead to more fuel dilution and less engine stress & also on tranmission (cvt) , so I was told by a Subaru dealer mech witch make common sense to me.

The only way to reduce fuel dilution in a GDI engine is an oil change.

The only real way to know if sport mode will help is to use sport exclusively, then send off an oil sample. Then do not use sport, and send a sample off following that oil change interval

Which lab performed this analysis?

I do not have a definitive answer here, but I don`t think at the end of the day it will matter. Even if it decreases the dilution to a degree, the increased gas consumption will probably cost more than the incremental possible increase in OCI.
So I would not worry about it.

You can’t really boil off gasoline. Once it gets in there it will pretty much stay there until you drain the oil
The flash point of pump gas is 43c.....
Even in winter my oil gets much hotter than this.....
Summer....no contest.

Why do you think gasoline won't burn off?

If it burned off that easily then nobody would have fuel dilution on their oil analysis reports. But yet many people (myself included) have had very high levels of fuel even after driving a lot of long highway trips.
