I will tell you right now if you don't already know this- We have military in parts of the world that are not widely known to the general public. My Son was stationed in South East Syria. You would be surprise as to what he was doing.
If we did send troops to Haiti-those thugs are no match for our Marines.

'Most' being the key word. My wife went to PR with 3 other females before we were married and they were told not to venture into certain areas.....but the same can be said for most large American cities.

During that low altitude, 360 on final, we traveled through the rising smoke from tire-fires, watched people battle each other on the ground, saw bodies in the street amongst the rubble and more. It was surreal. To the best of my knowledge, we were not shot at.

That is absolutely insane! Like something out of a movie.

Crazy erse Haitians, armed, charged into one of our orphanages and ran the kids and caregivers into the jungle. The kids were found by the Grace, but there's no money there, and a little food mostly. Just kids with dead parents.

I felt safer in San Juan than I do in Chicago.

True. I live an hour north of Manhattan and I'll go almost anywhere in PR but I avoid most of NYC since the riots.

It would take hits in return that would cost money to patch up. Those things tended to get shot up with small arms fire when flying low.

I saw a picture of three of the bullet holes. It appeared to be automatic fire since the three holes were close together and raked upward. It's amazing there was only a minor injury.

Indeed, I think most common folks would be surprised how fast we can halo jump a seal team from San Diego to a destroyer off the coast of yemen. However, let Haiti deal with themselves. There's absolutely no need to risk any American lives for Haiti, it will just become another bullcrud op that gets hung up by politicians like Mogadishu.

People forget just how far humanity will go when they have nothing to lose, nothing to live for, and backs are to the wall.
