In general nothing RR had wonderful hand built engines and drivetrains that were arguably smoother and quieter than any car on the road, what does this one have a hand built battery? The hand built drivetrain was part of the whole RR package along with the beautiful coachwork and interior, all built to perfection. They have literally torn the soul out of this car and thrown it in the trash.
People that appreciate RR do not want a BMW they want a RR for all the right reasons, only kartrashian types buy this sort of crap with twinkle lights in the headliner. JMHO

It's about the materials, finishing, and ultimate luxury. The EV junk doesn't have to be special assembled. The old RR stuff was trying to be an EV powertrain in smoothness.

Soul of an engine. 😂 This won't ever stop being funny to me and I'm a diehard car guy. The soul line is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. We as people are so determined to give objects of desire living creature qualities. I've always thought it was weird.

RR has been BMW for years, just like Bentley has been VW. If it wasn't for them these companies would have went away.

I mean you have something if you're talking about some crazy fire breathing supercar that makes ridiculous noise and mechanical feel is 90% of the experience. This is a luxury car that its whole ethos was an engine with "adequate" power in the quietest and smoothest way possible. Being EV is an improvement on that feel across the board. The engine has been basically secondary to the rest of the car.
 
There was real craftsmanship in the RR engine nothing of the kind in this thing. EV takes a lot away from that car not adds to it. You and I can never agree on this.

I don’t think there’s a single existing long term manufacturer I could disagree more with this on not being a performance car and being underpinned by another manufacturer. I fully understand your complaint but that happened before it ever went EV.
