In 1900, motoring pioneer The Hon Charles Stewart Rolls made a bold prediction in a magazine article: “The electric car is perfectly noiseless and clean. There is no smell or vibration. They should become very useful when fixed charging stations can be arranged,” he declared.

$420K to start, but you won't find one at that. $500K and up is more like it.
Actually, you won't find one at all; I believe they are all sold out. Dang!
It's a Rolls; it's got the umbrella and the RR wheel center keeps upright.

I first thought you were talking about Elon Musk aka Ernst Stavro Blofeld and spectre. LOL
That RR is a nice body and quality interior but just another car with a BMW drive train and battery. IMO electric cars failed back then just as they are destined to fail today for all the same reasons. VW who owns RR sister the Bentley is being more reserved not bring one until 2026 and another in 2027 but those may not appear as planned.

i liked the other picture better.

I'm neither a Rolls or Electric fan, but that's pretty cool nonetheless.
I just heard of it last night by chance. I am not a RR fan either.
Any car I own has to be able to be lent to family, friends and neighbors. They just might come home with a boo boo. Don't ask me how I know...

Anyways, check out a few YT videos; the Spectre's got some pretty neato-burrito stuff. But no tablet, so there's that.

Eh give me the V-12 with a twin turbo kit. The Rolls V-12s are amazingly smooth. However they jumped on the electric bandwagon early for a ultra luxury car. Any information on range/performance?

6500+ lbs, 2 motors (AWD), 102 kWh battery, 4.4 sec 0-60, 155 mph top speed, about 300 mile EPA range on 22" wheels, but get the 23"

The suicide door closes for you when you engage the brake pedal.

When I first saw Spectre as your discussion title, I thought we were going to be nerding about James Bond arch enemies. Imagine my disappointment.

I've got to say, that is a stunning car. @JeffKeryk, Even without a tablet stuck to the IP, I suspect there are plenty of wonderful new gadgets to entertain anyone, without any fart sounds.

So, you wouldn’t loan this one out? I’m disappointed…

My neighbor needed a car earlier this month. I gave him the keys to the S600.

And if its too far for the electric range you can just take your G800 or Falcon..
Why would a RR owner worry about charging or range?

That’s for the driver to worry about…. Have your “people” take cars of mundane details like that, washing it, and paying for it…

That was sorta the point. Like i don't have a G800 or Falcon laying around, suspect most here don't except for maybe @Cujet ...

"....car with a BMW drive train and battery." And what's wrong with that?
