Spark Plugs - is this an issue?

That's what I was thinking if it was oil. I didn't notice anything in the spark plug hole.

Same here. Maybe the factory uses a dielectric grease that cannot quite hold up to the undissapated heat generated by a plug hole deep into the head??

BTW; it seems to be running slightly on the lean side, which is a good thing for regular street driving.
Also, I wish my plugs were that easy to change!

Plug tip color is almost meaningless today, with modern fuels and wide range extended tip plugs. [unless you are really rich]

Get double tipped platinum. Whether or not they have a copper core is meaningless.
Forget about $1 plugs.
 
Right. Get the NGK OEM spec plug. Little anti seize and perfect torque and you are good to go. I never check plugs. When an old plug comes out,a new plug goes in.

I rarely change any auto or truck plugs anymore.

And if I do, I put a top end NGK fine wire platinum/iridium hybrid in there and I know it's good for 100k +!
