"Does anyone know where the love of God goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?"
Yeah, what a song and the fascinating part is it s true story. (music in the 60s and 70s was so amazing there just isnt anything like it anymore)
DO you know every November they still ring the church bells 29 times in honor of the men?
I still to this day get the chills at these words =
"And all that remains is the faces and the names
Of the wives and the sons and the daughters"

Below is actual radio communications from the ship on that night in 1975 =
That evening, the ship radioed another vessel,
Avafors, with a warning:
Fitzgerald:(shouting) “DON’T LET NOBODY ON DECK!”
Avafors: “What’s that,
Fitzgerald? Unclear. Over.”
Fitzgerald: “I have a bad list, lost both radars. And am taking heavy seas over the deck. One of the worst seas I’ve been in.”
At 7 p.m., the
Fitzgerald radioed another nearby ship, “We are holding our own.”
Less than two hours later, the
Edmund Fitzgerald had disappeared from radar.
