I have to park on the street. My house is the only house on the side street (there is a hotel opposite me and my yard runs the length of the block), but somehow there are usually a few other cars. My SLK has been hit in the past by poor parallel parking. I have replaced the driver's side turn signal light earlier this year. Today, I looked at the bumper and it looked like even more paint was gone. Then I noticed some water coming out of the light. Only it wasn't water. The light was slightly cracked and it had clear caulk holding it. As a matter of fact, the clear caulk was what I saw "dripping" from the light. Thanks for the effort, but just give me the $35 for the light. I will do the labor myself. Even more frustrating, this is my narrowest car. I suppose I should be grateful that they did something.

I wonder if they carry a tube of silicone in their car for just such instances. Seems like it would be easier to locate the owner and make right then hunt down silicone.

Someone hit my wife car (in our driveway) night before last, also hitting my trash can and dragging it a block over slinging trash all over my neighbors yards. They didnt even make an attempt to being the can back or even move it off the middle of the street.

There have been a fair number of contractors parking around here too. I will try and get some pics- I have no computer skills so I will have to bribe my assistant in helping on that. From ten feet away it is barely noticeable, but up close it is pretty obvious.

Wow.

Hopefully this is a picture. Some of the paint issue is from the previous hit.
