I have to say that I get a kick out of reading other forums sometimes. I was reading about how this guy thinks Maxlife is the cure to everything in an engine.

He has a 04 Malibu 2.2 with 86k....and he switched from a M1 diet to maxlife and the car runs better, with no burn off. I had to say, it threw me for a bit of a loop. Why not Mobil 1 High Mileage? Or Full Synthetic Maxlife? He actually said that every car should switch to this, regardless of what you are running. Cheaper, and better for your car. Huh? Ummmm...

I like Maxlife, but not like this guy. Makes me wonder if he is drinking it or something....Yikes!

Perhaps he's just "drinking the kool-aid!"

I like Valvoline products, used them for years including MaxLife. It did help with some consumption issues in my SC300, but certainly no miracle potion.

I used both Maxlife Syn Blend and Full Synthetic few years ago in LS400 and could not feel any difference from Chevron Supreme or Havoline Deposit Shield or M1 of the same grade. All the oils of the same grade perform very similar.

True...I still can't figure why he just up and dumped a Full Synthetic either...

If you have a car with high mileage and one that burns oil and leaks a little max life can help in some cases i use that and pennzoil high mileage and i do see a differance.. Its not a cure all but it can work pretty good in some engines.. For the ones that it dont work in thats where we come in...lol

unfortunately for me.. there's no Full Synthetic maxlife in my area, Walmart and AZ have only semi. AND today at Walmart, they only had Maxlife, didn't say if it was semi-syn or anything.

Maxlife's a good oil... no doubt about it.

the oil prices have gone up the last time I was at Walmart.. the longer OCI's are having an affect!

More likely a result of rising crude prices...

I use regular maxlife 10-30 but next change I putting in M 1 5-30 High mileage as I got it very cheap Hope it doesn't cause any problems in my old HM engine
